About Flourish
Professional counselling should be a right, not a luxury.
Flourish Wellbeing Support exists to help close the gap between overstretched NHS services and unaffordable private therapy. We are a Community Interest Company providing qualified online counselling for adults across the UK.
Why Flourish exists
The problem we are trying to solve.
Mental health support should be a right, not a luxury. With 1 in 3 people seeing their health deteriorate while waiting for care, we provide quality counselling support when it's needed.
Accessing mental health support in the UK can feel like being stuck between two extremes. On one side, an NHS waiting list that can stretch for months. On the other, private therapy fees of usually more than £60 per session, are often beyond what most people can realistically afford.
This leaves many people in a gap. They do not need crisis-level intervention, but they cannot access the qualified support they would genuinely benefit from. At Flourish, we are here to help close that gap.
How we are different
A different kind of service.
Expert-Led Clinical Provision: Delivering 100% remote, 1-to-1 psychotherapy structured around a 15-session model. We work only with qualified counsellors who belong to a professional body such as the BACP or UKCP, to ensure high clinical safety and a broad scope of support for complex presentations.
Social Equity & Financial Sustainability: Managing a tiered-pricing framework. As a CIC, we reinvest our surplus in keeping counselling affordable: our low-cost rates and a small number of free places.
Third Sector & Partnership Support: Providing clinical partnerships, staff wellbeing sessions, and professional supervision for fellow non-profits and community groups.

MBACP · BA (Hons) Counselling and Therapeutic Practice
Hello, I'd like to start by saying I understand how scary it can be to start counselling. Sometimes the things you are facing feel too big, or too frightening or even confusing to take on, and the idea of sharing this with a stranger can feel overwhelming.

Clinical standards
How we keep counselling safe and professional.
Accessible counselling should feel safe, structured and clinically responsible. Flourish works with qualified professionals, so clients know what to expect from the start.
Qualified counsellors
Registered professionals only.
Flourish works with qualified counsellors who are accountable to BACP, UKCP, or an equivalent recognised body. We do not use trainees or students to reduce costs.
Safe practice
Supported by supervision.
Our counsellors work within professional standards and receive appropriate clinical supervision. This helps keep the work reflective, ethical and safe for clients.
Clear boundaries
The right support for the right need.
Flourish is not a crisis or emergency service. The initial appointment helps confirm whether our online counselling model is suitable, or whether another form of support may be more appropriate.
Who we support
For adults who need support, but are not in crisis.
Flourish provides online counselling for adults aged 18 and over across the UK. We may be able to help if you are dealing with stress, anxiety, low mood, grief, relationship difficulties, life changes, work pressure or feeling stuck.
Flourish is not a crisis service. If someone is at immediate risk, they should call 999 or contact Samaritans on 116 123.
Our structure
What it means to be a Community Interest Company.
A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a type of registered company designed for organisations that want to use their resources for the public good rather than private profit.
As a CIC, Flourish has an asset lock built into its legal structure. Our assets and profits must be used for the benefit of the community, and cannot be distributed to shareholders or private individuals. We report to the CIC Regulator and Companies House.
